Meeting Location: Mark's Apartment

Members Present: Martha, Nathalie, Daria, Mark, Eric, John W., John V, and Steven D.

Meeting Times - Start: 7.00 pm - End: 9.05 pm

1. January Through May Birthday Celebration
   
   The group had a nice time celebrating the January through May birthday celebration at Bennigan’s, even though it was a stormy night. Martha, Nathalie, Daria, Mark, Eric, John W., John V, and Steven D. attended the event.



2. September Events-
   
   September 15th- September birthday celebration at the Hooters on Rockville Pike. We will meet at 7:00 p.m. The Birthday people include Daria, Jill, and Walter.
   
   September 21st- The first planning meeting will take place at Mark’s apartment. Tentative start time is 7:00 p.m.
   
   September 30th- The first phase of the Fun Bunch’s 8th Anniversary, which will be a trip to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. We will meet up at 10:30 a.m. Will discuss more specifics at the planning meeting on September 21st.



3. October Events-
   
   October 10th- Fun Bunch meeting at Davis Library, in the small room. Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
   
   October 13th- The second phase of the Fun Bunch’s 8th Anniversary, which will be a trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania so we can walk the battlefield, and also do a ghost walk. Will talk more specifics at the planning meeting on the 21st of September.
   
   October 31st- Halloween party, at Mark’s condo’s community room. There will be cake, punch, and candy, and of course Halloween music. ( Mark needs to call his condo office and ask about the room’s availability that night.)



4. Topics
   
   After a discussion, some of the topics that the group would like to focus on at future meetings include discussing how to deal with fear of anything, another topic that was mentioned was discussing group dynamics within the Fun Bunch, and yet the final topic that was mentioned was intervention, when it comes to dealing with difficult bosses, and job finding skills.



5. Holiday Party
   
   Let us decide on a final date to have the holiday party. We could have the party on a Saturday. The following dates that the group would like to have the party are first choice: December 22nd; second choice: December 15th, and Third choice is December 8th. Mark will check on the availability of the room.



6. Dr. Jessie
   
   Discussed the issue of Dan, specifically what Mark intends to say to Dan and discussed the time parameters of the second half of the October meeting. We began to discuss topics at 8:45 p.m. Discussed some issues that Daria chose to talk about. Two members inquired to Dr. Jessie, about the possibility of recommending psychologists to those members that requested them. Dr. Jessie announced that she would be eventually taking a leave of absence due to the fact that she is now 4 months pregnant. She is due in middle February. Dr. Jessie, did not mention when she intends to begin her leave of absence. Mark estimates that her leave of absence will begin around middle December or in early January. Of course that is only a guess.
