Meeting Location: Strathmore Court Apartments, Community Room

Members Present: Mark, Nina, Doreen, Cathy, Mike, John V., Nathalie, Jill, Bob, Daria, Carla, Lorin

Meeting Times - Start: 7:46 pm - End: 9:30 pm

1. New Members
   
   The group welcomed two new members: Robert “Bob” Johnson & Doreen Martinez. The group did introductions to get to know one another.



2. Bowling
   
   The group is still scheduled to go bowling on Friday night, February 29th at the Bowl America on Clopper Road in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The tentative time is set for 9:00 p.m., but please note that is only tentative as Mark still needs to call Bowl America to see if there are bowling leagues that night or if we will be able to bowl that night.



3. Cathy & Mike’s Shower
   
   The group is set to celebrate Cathy and Mike’s wedding shower at Houston’s restaurant in Rockville, Maryland on



4. Saint Patrick’s Party & March Birthday Celebration
   
   The group is scheduled to celebrate Saint Patrick’s day AND the March birthdays in the group at Nina’s apartment, The time is yet to be determined. Originally, Nina had wanted to have the party in her condo’s community room, but that is too expensive, so Nina has agreed to have the party in her apartment. Nina wants people to know that she has two cats, so if you are allergic to cats, then please let either Mark or Daria know. As for the members who have birthdays in March, they are: Mike B. (March 1st), Doreen M. (March 3rd), Carla S. (March 17th), and John W. (March 30th). Make sure to bring birthday cards, balloons, or whatever you would like to bring to mark their birthdays.



5. Summer BBQ
   
   The group is still scheduled to have a summer “kick-off” BBQ on Friday night May 23rd. I believe that the start time will be 7:00 p.m. Family members, as of this minute, are invited. However, the location of the BBQ is yet to be determined. Daria is in the process of asking her parents if she would be able to have the BBQ at her parents house in Darnestown, Maryland. Keep Posted.



6. Exercise Group
   
   Daria has initiated a push to have a “Fun Bunch exercise group”. After a discussion it was discovered that the best time for the group to exercise would be on Saturday afternoons. Perhaps once or twice a month. The group mentioned that we could go hiking, work out to exercise videos, or maybe even work out at a local community center, or a YMCA weight room. The group decided that perhaps we could rotate which form of exercise that we would do each time. At the meeting the group decided to attempt to go hiking on the C&O canal, right by Georgetown, and maybe even do some walking in Georgetown, too. I do recall that one member said maybe we can do some window shopping in Georgetown. The group agreed to meet up and start hiking at 3:00 p.m. Please let Mark or Daria know if you are interested in hiking this Saturday, February 23rd in Georgetown.



7. Fun Bunch Members’ Individual Group Goals
   
   The group decided to set their individual goals for the year. Here is a list of what the members whom were present at the meeting said:



8. Other Information
   
   Just a side note, that under “Exercise Group” our first planned event is hiking in Georgetown on Saturday, and then after Georgetown, our second event will be to hike on Sugarloaf mountain. One more side note, that Bob’s birthday is on April 3rd.



9. Rules
   
   The group, towards the end of the meeting, discussed the rules, and Daria had the new members sign the Fun Bunch application sheet. Although one member had an issue with the way one of the sentences in the application was worded. Mark will have LDAMC and his father look over the phrasing of the Fun Bunch application, and see if there is a better way to phrase the sentence in question.



10. Next Meeting
    
    The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday March 12th, 2008 at Nathalie’s condominium’s, the Strathmore Court, community room. Once again the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will end at 9:30 p.m. See you at the next meeting!
