- Brochure & Group Photo:
With the tenth anniversary near, it is time to put together a new brochure about the Fun Bunch. With the new brochure, we will need to have a new group photo. Currently, we are planning on having the official group photo taken at either Mount Vernon OR at dinner that same day (October 17th).
- October 10th:
We are planning on meeting at Cici’s Pizza for dinner. HOWEVER, so we can have a group photo for a brochure for a transition conference on October 17th, we will first meet in front of Bertucci’s restaurant so we can have a nice group photo in front of a nice restaurant. AFTER the photo, we will then adjourn to Cici’s Pizza for dinner. Time to be determined.
- October 17th (Anniversary and Birthday Event):
We are currently planning on combining two events into this day!!! During the day time, we will commemorate our 10th anniversary by going to Mount Vernon. Time to be determined later. For dinner, we will celebrate the next wave of birthdays( those members with August, September, October, and November birthdays) at Carrabba’s restaurant in Germantown, Maryland. Time to be determined later.
- October 31 (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania trip):
We are thinking about taking a trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to see the battlefield, have lunch and dinner, and maybe even a ghost walk/tour. We need to see how much interest there is from the group.
- August Spector:
The following are the dates of future August Spector meetings:
• Tuesday October 13th
• Tuesday November 10th
• Tuesday December 8th
August Spector reminds all that only when you attend the meetings, there is a $5 per person per meeting charge. Mark has August Spector’s contact information; if you would like to contact him, please ask. During the Fun Bunch meeting, the following topics to discuss at future August Spector meetings was agreed upon:
• How to write Resumes
• Conflict Resolution
• Time management
• Prioritizing tasks
• Self-esteem
• How to find jobs on the internet/website
• Socializing with people
• Interpersonal skills
• Social skills
